Builders Project

The concept of Buildhers began back in 2022 where Fletcher Residential wanted a home entirely constructed by women to promote and showcase the talent already involved in the industry and inspire more women to consider careers in construction.

As a trusted and longstanding partner to Fletcher’s, PCI Electrical was invited to get involved with the existing team of young women that are already working as either qualified electricians or working towards completing their apprenticeships. Grehta, Holly and Dominique worked to complete the Electrical, Security, MATV and HVAC services into the four-bedroom 200+m2 standalone home in Whenuapai.

The project was visited for International Women’s Day 2024. It was a complete success and our team thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it. PCI Electrical are looking forward to be involved in the next stage of Buildhers II (due to start late 2024) and continuing the great work of encouraging and promoting women into the broader construction industry.
