The Lowco Project
Fletcher’s have embarked on building both terraced and standalone homes that are significantly challenging the norms around sustainability within the construction sector, helping New Zealand reach its climate change goals.
This passive home has been awarded a Homestar 10 rating and has the ability to save 80% of potable water and divert 90% of construction waste from ending up in landfills.
PCI Electrical played a crucial role in collaborating with the Fletcher’s team during both the design and construction phases, particularly in the electrical and ventilation systems that have contributed to the success of this project.
Key sustainability features PCI Electrical contributed to this project include:
- Balanced ventilation system with heat recovery
- Solar PV array readiness
- EV charger readiness
- Heating and cooling systems
- Real-time energy management and monitoring
- CO2, humidity, and temperature monitoring
PCI Electrical are looking forward to the next evolutions of this project. We are also excited about bringing these innovations and technologies to the wider market to improve overall sustainability in construction and to create a sustainable way of living now and well into the future.
